In the second chapter of the Ginger Snaps saga, we find Brigitte on her own and battling to keep her lycanthropy in check. This film is particularly near and dear to me for a couple reasons.
First, the character of Brigitte is shown some well deserved attention as she deals with her problem and her situation is even more heartbreaking than before. The loss she felt in the first movie is now overshadowed by the threat of losing not just those close to her, but herself as well.
Second, I am so very proud of my favorite actress for carrying this entire film on her own. She did a wonderful job and I personally think she looked really beautiful in it as well. There is nothing you can do to this woman that puts a damper on her stunning looks!
This remains my favorite work of Emily's as well as my favorite film in general. A good script, great directing and stellar acting by Emily and her co-stars make this a movie you just have to see... after you see the first one, of course.

I'm inclined to agree with some that the writing in the second film was not nearly as good as it was for the first. The dialog often just felt strange.

Strange in what way? I thought it was good. The second lacked the humor of the first, but made up for it with more Emily! Is that a cop-out? I think not. Seriously, the second film was closer to a typical horror movie, but still different and better, so it bridges the gap.

I agree with both of you Zack and Max. The movie is very good and the acting of all the cast is very good, too. The fact that in "UNLEASHED" there is less sense of humor than the previous film and that dialog seems "strange" is true, but i think this was a necessary step to concentrate the attention more on the suffering and the pain of Brigitte as she struggle to keep the wolf inside. But hey, that's my opinion ;D I also think that the "wolf make-up" on this movie is much better than the one in the first chapter...isn't it?!

I agree. The plot called for a darker tone and I think it works quite well.
